Compulsory Use of Standard Mark
After implementation of this Quality Control Order, when it comes into force the manufacturers or importers of Bolts, Nuts, and Fasteners must have BIS Certification and without this license, they are not allowed to manufacture or import these products in the Indian market. By obtaining BIS Certification or license manufacturers or importers can adhere to specified standard marks (ISI Mark) on their products if any person (manufacturer or importer) who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provision of BIS Act, 2016.
