Implementation date of QCO for Flux Cored Solder Wire

1. This order may be called the Flux Cored Solder Wire (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
2. It shall come into force on the expiry of six months from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

• For large scale industries/ foreign manufacturers or importers, this order shall come into force within 6 months from the date of publication.
• For small enterprises, it shall come into force on the expiry of 9 months from the date of publication of this notification.
• For micro enterprises, it shall come into force with effect 12 months from the date of publication of this notification.

Compulsory Use of Standard Mark on Flux Cored Solder Wire

Once the product is BIS certified, it is mandatory to use the ISI Mark with there IS number (IS 1921:2005) on all flux cored solder wire products. ISI mark indicates that the product conforms to BIS standards, providing assurance of its quality and safety to consumers and businesses alike.
If any manufacturer or importer who violates the terms of this order will be subject to penalties under the BIS Act of 2016.
