Quality Control Order for Drums and Tins

The MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) has notified the Quality Control Order (QCO) after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards on 17th October, 2023 to mandate BIS certification for Drums and Tins.

(1) This Order may be called the Drums and Tins (Quality Control) Order, 2023.

(2) It shall come into force on the expiry of 6 months from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette

Date of Implementation: 17th April, 2024

Penalty for contravention: If any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
