(2) It shall come into force with effect from the 28th February, 2025.
- For large manufacturers or importers it shall come into force with effect from the 28th February, 2025.
- For small enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), it shall come into force with effect from the 28th May, 2025.
- For micro enterprises, as defined under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), it shall come into force with effect from the 28th August, 2025.
Compulsory Use of Standard Mark
After grant of BIS (ISI Mark) license, manufacturers must have to use and show ISI mark on their certified products with their IS numbers. BIS ISI mark signifies that the product conforms to the relevant Indian standards and has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (Govt. of India). It helps consumers identify and trust certified products. If any manufacturer or importer who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
